Daniel Alejandro Trejo’s A Dangerous Place to Be features a new series of scupltural works in clay and wood. The exhibition explores the complex layers of violence, forced disappearance and the demand for safe public spheres. Trejo re-examines and contests conventional production, operation, and presentation of ceramics, and steps beyond the parameters of the material. He questions the limitations of building methods used in utilitarian objects of craft and navigates through ceramic sculpture in a contemporary landscape.

Daniel’s exhibition, A Dangerous Place To Be, is on view from Oct. 23 – Nov. 22 with an opening reception on Friday, Oct. 25 from 6-8pm. Regular gallery hours  Wed-Fri from 12-6pm or by appointment by contacting alisha@hollandreno.org or calling 775-448-6500. Visit Holland Projects for more information.
